Tiger King

Instagram StickerS + HASHTAG ICON

Netflix came to our agency with a weird, nameless show about people who owned big cats. Their team believed in it, but it seemed like other agencies were focusing on more prolific Netflix titles coming out in the first half of 2020.

We did not.

We immediately knew the eventually titled “Tiger King” had the potential to be a sleeper hit, and it blew up to be even more than that, becoming Netflix’s most-tweeted about show in a 24 hour period EVER at that time.

When we got the green light from Netflix, our team created a suite of Giphy Stickers in mere days that garnered over 500,000 views in the first hour of being live, including a shoutout in Kim Kardashian’s Instagram Story.

In addition, our team, led by me as the acting art director, created original video pieces like Joe Exotic’s first interview from jail, Zoom backgrounds for the start of quarantine, and a custom twitter hashtag emoji that earned 6.5 BILLION impressions during its 2-week lifespan.

Morale of the story: always fear a sleeping tiger.
