I stepped into the lead designer role at our agency for the second half of The Man Who Invented Christmas campaign. I oversaw the creation of all designs leading up to release, including an intricate Facebook Canvas that ran during premiere week.

Viewers who were served the ad unit were transported into an interactive preview of Bharat Nalluri’s vision of the classic Charles Dickens story. The expierence was broken into escalating sections: A zoom-through introduction, animated character introductions, a three-row “Past, Present, Future” puzzle, an illustrated scene preview, and finally a ticketing CTA to cap off the journey.

Ultimately, this Canvas experience generated 247,000 impressions and had an average viewer retention of twenty-four seconds. We were delighted that fans and non-fans alike were drawn in by the puzzle-like nature of what was, in the end, and ad for a movie.
